Certified Practitioner Training in the ISF Standard of Good Practice

We’re pleased to announce that full training and certification in the ISF’s Standard of Good Practice for Information Security – resulting in the ‘SoGP-CP’ certification – is here! The next Certified Practitioner training course will take place on:

  • 18-21 May 2020 in Central London (examination held on the afternoon of May 21) – Ticket price: £2250
    *Price includes 3.5 days training, examination and certification.


Developed by CRMG with full endorsement from the Information Security Forum (ISF) – and backed up by a certification scheme maintained by Professional Examination and Certification Board (PECB), this four-day training course and supporting examination will provide a formal qualification (‘SoGP-CP’) in the ISF’s Standard.

As a Certified Practitioner, you will be equipped to:

  • Build a security framework based on the ISF Standard
  • Apply a risk-based approach to information security
  • Conduct reviews of information and cyber security controls
  • Identify gaps in policies, standards and procedures
  • Use the Standard to help develop a security awareness programme
  • Review supplier security status.

Typical roles that this course will apply to include Information Security Managers, Specialists, Architects and Consultants, as well as those specialising in information risk and compliance or in internal / external audit.
